Subsequently, after participation in national exams (2005), he was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate studies by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He then completed an MSc in Rehabilitation at the University of Nottingham (2006) and a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Strathclyde (2011).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"456\" data-end=\"675\">Konstantinos worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Strathclyde (2010 \u2013 2013) where he was involved in large funded and collaborative research projects such as the SWIFTCAST and Envisage projects (http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-scotland-21266301).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"920\">Konstantinos is an HCPC registered (reg no: PH86265), a Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP) in the UK, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, UK) and also a member of Panhellenic Physiotherapy Society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"1644\">Konstantinos Joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2013 as a Lecturer in Biomechanics. He taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the school of Applied Sciences at Edinburgh Napier University. He served as programme leader in the Physical Activity and Health undergraduate programme and involved in the development of the Clinical Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology MSc programmes and supervised several PhD programmes. He also was the principal investigator (i.e. PI, IMPROVE, NHS; 2022-24, \u00a3200k) and co-investigator (i.e. WATER project, Chief Scientist O\udbff\udc00ice; 2015-2017, \u00a3304k) in large multidisciplinary research grants.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1646\" data-end=\"1973\">His research and teaching interests are in human movement, clinical and sport biomechanics, rehabilitation, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, physical activity and exercise prescription for clinical populations, research methods, statistics and more.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2058\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Konstantinos joined the Physiotherapy department at University of Patras in August 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"featured_media":391,"template":"","class_list":["post-389","speaker","type-speaker","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.7 -
