Neil Retallic is an optometrist, educator, and researcher with experience across clinical practice, professional services, academia, and leadership roles in the UK and internationally. He currently works as Head of Optometry Development for one of the world’s largest optical and audiology retail groups, Specsavers, and is an Assessor and Examiner for the College of Optometrists (UK).
Neil is also pursuing a PhD at the University of Bradford (UK), focused on mental well-being within the optical profession, reflecting his commitment to the holistic development of eye care professionals. Previously, he was the Global Professional Services Manager at Menicon, where he contributed to international education and contact lens innovation.
Neil has been actively involved with various charities and professional organisations, including serving as President of the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) and supporting global eye care initiatives through his work with Vision Aid Overseas and the Special Olympics.
