ERIC PAPAS

Eric Papas is Emeritus Professor in the School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Holding degrees in physics and optometry, he has spent much of his career researching the ocular surface and contact lenses. Formerly Executive Director of R&D at the Brien Holden Vision Institute, he is a co-inventor of silicone hydrogels and an internationally recognized educator. He has received the Charles F. Prentice Medal, H. Barry Collin Research Medal, and British Contact Lens Association Medal. He is currently Associate Editor of Contact Lens & Anterior Eye and serves on editorial boards for Optometry & Vision Science and Eye & Contact Lens.
