Andronikos Chrysanthopoulos is an Optician – Optometrist specializing in refraction and binocular vision, with significant clinical experience and an active presence in both research and academic teaching.
Since 2021, he has been working at Zamanos Optical Stores, where he has performed over 1,500 vision assessments. His expertise includes presbyopia management using multifocal, modified monovision, and monovision contact lenses, retinoscopy, prismatic correction, and binocular vision problem-solving. He also trains junior optometrists.
From October 2023 to February 2024, he worked at Hypervision Clinic, focusing on pre-operative vision screening and optometric evaluations. Since April 2025, he has been teaching at the University of West Attica as a teaching assistant, supported by a merit-based scholarship. He is also pursuing a PhD, conducting research on the amplitude of accommodation in young Caucasian adults.
Since 2020, he has been a regular contributor to Eye Magazine Greece publishing numerous scientific articles on topics such as myopia, presbyopia, dry eye syndrome, and modern vision correction methods. In 2024, he published a peer-reviewed article in the Ophthalmology Research: An International Journal.
Between 2018 and 2021, he founded and managed the student-led magazine "Optical Dimensions" at the University of West Attica, encouraging academic engagement among students in the field of Optometry.
He has actively participated in national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops on subjects such as myopia management, contact lenses, binocular vision, strabismus, amblyopia, OCT, and corneal topography.
