ADOLFOS KANNETIS

I am still working as an Optometrist, specialising in Contact Lenses and the treatment of KERATOCONUS. I am Appointed Optometrist/Optician to HM British Forces Cyprus. Founder Member of the BCLA. President Cyprus Optical Association and Cyprus Republic Optical Council (Legislation + Licensing). Member of the Board European Council of Optometry and Optics (ECOO) (Professional Services). Author of the Professional Code of Ethics of European Opticians + Optometrists (Lisbon), adopted by ECOO and the WORLD COUNCIL of OPTOMETRY. Member Cyprus Standards Board CYS (CEN + SENELEC) on Health and Safety. Worked in JORDAN 1975/1978 as a visiting instructor in Contact Lens fitting at King Hussein Military Teaching Hospital. Lectured in Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, UK, Hungary, and Turkey.
